The International Expressive Arts Therapy Association is a non-profit,
professional, membership
organization committed to promoting the development of a multi-modal
approach to the arts in psychology, counseling, and education. IEATA encourages
health workers and educators to integrate the arts as a way to deepen and
intensify their work.The interdisciplinary use of dance, drama, music,
visual art, poetry, and other creative arts plays a vital role in both
individual and community healing.
